Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on the 22nd of November 1985 in New York City New York) is well-known for her ability to act across different genres ranging from historical dramas, thrillers and action-packed films. Johansson was born in New York City, and was raised by an architect father and producer mother. She was the twin sister of Hunter and her were among the youngest of siblings. When she was a kid she was able to begin acting. In fact, by 7 years old she was already auditioning for a number of commercials. She joined the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly after and went to the Professional Children's School, Manhattan to further her education. In the year she turned eight old, Johansson starred alongside Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in an Off-Broadway show. At the age of nine her debut film was Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson appeared next on screen in Just Cause (1996), but the film Manny & Lo 1996 that was her breakthrough. The film is about two girls orphaned by their parents who have fled to escape. Then, she was awarded the praise of critics for playing a teenage girl who had experienced an accident which caused her to be disfigured as she appeared in The Horse Whisperer (1998). The film gained her more acclaim for her performance in Ghost World (2002) as the self-deprecating outcast Rebecca. She discovered her passion for acting as a young child. Smith's parents helped her with landing her first acting role in the age of six. In a commercial on television in which she played Dannon Yogurt. Like other young actors in the same position She honed her craft in the theatre. In addition, she worked on other productions across the USA and Canada, but Wildflower was her first onstage performance. She graduated from the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
