Alongside the track Angel that became a huge hit and she co-wrote the eight songs featured in the album. Mitchell's closest acquaintance Angela 15, who was fifteen years old at the time of her death in April 1997 as a result of an automobile accident, died 11th April 1997. Mitchell found this incredibly difficult and Angela became the basis to her hit song Angel that is featured on her debut album. The publication Chicken Soup, for the Preteen Soul & the 7th Heaven episode, Nobody Endures But Change also featured her essay on the occasion. Her friend Angela died in a traffic accident when she was the age of 15. Mitchell was terribly affected by the experience with the loss incident, and Angela is the reason for Mitchell's song Angel on her debut album. She also wrote about the experiences in her publication Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul and in the 7th Heaven episode Nothing Endures But Change.
