
Salma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jimenez (September 2nd, 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actress and film producer. In Mexico, she began her acting career playing the character of Teresa in the telenovela (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she was nominated for an Ariel Award. The actress soon made her mark in Hollywood with roles in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) as well as Dogma (1999). Hayek's character as Frida Kahlo as a painter in Frida (2002) which was a biographical feature she created which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination [6]. In addition, she received her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award as well as British Academy Film Award nominations. Later on, Hayek focused more on producing , and was also in action-oriented films like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
