Carpenter tells us that she was in his thoughts for the role, but that she rejected the role. Anne isn't sure if she remembers John Carpenter contacting her or suggesting the role. The possibility is that her agent turned it away without informing Anne. Glen Larson sent her an preliminary draft of script for a character in 1978's television show Battlestar Galactica. Her initial reaction was to decline the role since the character did not seem robust. Then Glen wrote a new part exclusively for her featuring an even stronger character called Sheba. The first 25-page script was read by Sheba and she was immediately in agreement. It ran for a single season. The actress starred alongside Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the movie Joyride (1977) and also co-starred along with Michael Moriarty in the horror film The Dark Tower (1987).
