Ruth Roman died Thursday, aged 75, at her Laguna Beach home. Ruth Roman was known as a Hollywood screen-star who was a star in Hollywood in the 1950s due to her combination of beauty and sexuality. Richard Hall, her son confirmed her death asleep. Her breakout performance as Kirk Douglas in Stanley Kramer's ''Champion,'' an adaptation in 1949 of a Ring Lardner short story about a maniacal prize fighter, Warner Brothers gave her starring roles in nine films in less than two years. It was her turn to work alongside Bette Davis in 'Beyond The Forest'' and being a part of Milton Berle's "Always leave them laughing' in a single day.
