Amanda Brugel

Brugel is the only Canadian participant in the Season 1 cast. She was seen only once or twice. But in Season 2 she became a series permanent and has been a part of the crew ever since. When asked about her role in the show and if there are any similarities to her personal life beyond the lens, Brugel revealed that she had used her experience with racism to relate to the way that Marthas are being treated. "I do not just apply it to fill in the house as a Martha but also, as I say, my past moments when I'm feeling like I was being held down due to race in certain situations."
